The world's best senior golfers head to Colorado Springs this summer to compete in the U.S. Senior Open Championship. The U.S. Senior Open will begin Monday, July 28 with three days of practice rounds followed by four days of Championship play, July 31 through August 3. The tournament will be held on the East Course at The Broadmoor. More than 150,000 spectators are expected to attend the U.S. Senior Open throughout the week to watch 156 professionals and amateurs (older than 50) battle it out on the greens. This is the sixth United States Golf Association (USGA) Championship staged at The Broadmoor. The first was the 1959 U.S. Amateur won by Jack Nicklaus. The last was the 1995 U.S. Women's Open, won by Annika Sorenstam. Children 17 and younger attending this event receive free admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult. www.2008ussenioropen.com

Rollin' on the Riverwalk With the Pueblo Symphony (Pueblo) July 4, 2008: Rollin' on the Riverwalk is an annual patriotic concert that joins Pueblo's Riverwalk and the Pueblo Symphony Orchestra. This year, the symphony will perform with the Big Kahuna Beach Party. The evening concludes with a dramatic fireworks display. www.puebloharp.com

105th Annual Cowboys' Roundup Days (Steamboat Springs) July 4–6, 2008: This salute to the Old West is one of Steamboat Springs' oldest traditions. This exciting weekend includes a Fourth of July parade through downtown, a cattle drive, rodeos and is topped off with a fireworks display. www.steamboatsummer.com

Arts Picnic (Greeley) July 26–27, 2008: More than 150 juried artists and crafters gather to sell an assortment of wares ranging from watercolors and weavings to pottery, patio furniture and painted flowerpots.
