2006 Award Recipients
Timberline Award Recipients/Applicants
LexisNexis Case Law and Citations in Colorado Springs is a past Foothills award
recipient and now a Timberline award recipient in 2006. As one of the top legal
research organizations in the world, LexisNexis is lead by Alison Manchester.
McKee Medical Center in Longmont is a high performing healthcare provide as
demonstrated by it s Timberline award in 2006. McKee is part of the Banner Healthcare
system and is lead by CEO Rick Sutton.
North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley is a past Foothills
award recipient and has demonstrated excellent deployment as a Timberline award
recipient in 2006. Gene O'Hara is the CEO at NCMC. NCMC is also a part of the
Banner Healthcare system.
Foothills Award Recipients
Emerson School in Grand Junction is a Foothills award recipient and is a member
of Mesa County Valley School District #51. Terry Schmalz is the principal and
Dr. Tim Mills is the superintendent in District #51.
Pulte Mortgage in Englewood is a Foothills award recipient in 2006. This organization
has demonstrated the first step towards performance excellence as the primary
mortgage lender for Pulte Homes. Debra Still is the CEO.
West Middle School in Grand Junction and a member of Mesa
County Valley School District #51 has demonstrated sound approaches and is a
Foothills award recipient. Vern Walker is the principal of West and Dr. Tim
Mills is the Superintendent of District #51.
Other Applicants Not Eligible for an Award
Poudre Valley Health Systems in Ft. Collins won the Peak award in 2004 and is
not eligible again until 2008 for an award. The CEO is Rulon Stacy.
Mesa County Valley School District #51 in Grand Junction and
Palisade won the Foothills award in 2003 and is not eligible again until 2007
for an award. The superintendent is Dr. Tim Mills.

President George W. Bush and Commerce Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez today announced
three organizations as recipients of the 2006 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award,
the nation’s highest Presidential honor for organizational performance excellence.
The 2006 Baldrige Award recipients are:
MESA Products, Inc., Tulsa, Okla. (small business)
Premier, Inc., San Diego, Calif. and (service)
North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, Miss. (health care).
